"Stand up!" a great success

21.05.2007 - (Duisburg, October 2006) STAND UP is a mobilization initiative designed to coincide with global mobilizations around the International Day of Poverty Eradication and the White Band Day of the Global Call to Action against Poverty. It relies fully on citizen participation in that it mobilizes all individuals, everywhere, to take part in local, group events around the world through which they use their bodies (rather than their voices) as concrete symbols of MDG advocacy. more

Join e-postcard initiative aganinst poverty!

21.05.2007 - (Duisburg, 16. Januar 2007) After the great success of the global "Stand up" mobilization initiative in which Kindernothilfe as well as a lot of partner organisations participated we would like to ask everyone to join the international e-postcard initiative of the german initiative "Deine Stimme gegen Armut" (Your voice against poverty) which aims at implementing the Millenium Development Goals. This is a initiative of the Association of German development non-governmental organisations (VENRO)in which Kindernothilfe is also a member. more

Jakarta: Kindernothilfe concentrates aid on the flooded slum areas

21.05.2007 - Duisburg/ Jakarta, 06.02.2007) In cooperation with the indonesian Partner Organisation KDM (Kampus Diakoneia Modern), Kindernothilfe is providing blankets, food and potable water to the refugees in Jakarta since the early morning hours. In addition, four tents have been donated for the refugee camp. The emergency aid concentrates on the flooded slum areas in Jakarta. more

Aid extended: More than 300.000 children being supported

21.05.2007 - (Duisburg, May 11th 2007) Kindernothilfe extended the range of its work in 2006. Today 302.859 children in 27 countries worldwide benefit from the help from Duisburg. In 2006 the registered charitable organization Kindernothilfe e.V. had an income to the amount of 52,5 million (2005: 69,4) euros. Decline is due to the exceptional willingness to donate for Tsunami-projects in 2005. Average annual income after being adjusted by those funds used for emergency aid are to the amount of about 600.000 Euro (1,2 per cent) higher than income of the previous year. more

Emergency relief for Jakarta Flood Victims: Federal Foreign Office supports Kindernothilfe

21.05.2007 - (Jakarta/Duisburg, February 12, 2007) The Federal Foreign Office provides 26,000 Euro for Kindernothilfe humanitarian assistance to flood victims in Jakarta. more
