Join e-postcard initiative aganinst poverty!
(Duisburg, 16. Januar 2007) After the great success of the global "Stand up" mobilization initiative in which Kindernothilfe as well as a lot of partner organisations participated we would like to ask everyone to join the international e-postcard initiative of the german initiative "Deine Stimme gegen Armut" (Your voice against poverty) which aims at implementing the Millenium Development Goals. This is a initiative of the Association of German development non-governmental organisations (VENRO)in which Kindernothilfe is also a member.

Picture: Kindernothilfe Following on from the promises the German Government made in 2005, with other G8 leaders in Gleneagles and the commitment they have made to halving extreme poverty by 2015 by signing up to the Millennium Development Goals - they must now use these opportunities to turn promises into decisive actions.
Please join with campaigners across the globe and send ‘your voice against poverty' to the German Government. This e-postcard will remind Chancellor Merkel and her fellow leaders of the promises they have made and the need for them to do more in the fight against poverty.
The signatures will be handed over to Chancellor Angela Merkel right before the G8 Summit in Germany in June 2007.
